POSITION SUMMARY
As a Commercial Sales Specialist at Baird Foundation Repair, you will play a pivotal role in driving business to business relationships and growing Baird's brand in the commercial space. You will be responsible for managing sales activities, fostering client relationships, negotiating contracts and managing projects to drive revenue growth.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT – Develops a network of industry professionals, such as engineers, architects, contractors, and so on. Initiates, cultivates, and maintains relationships to instill trust and confidence and ultimately create sales leads. Attends and presents at special industry-related events, outings, and trade shows to build this network of professionals.
- CLOSE DEALS – Research sales opportunities for the company, follow up with potential customers to make appointments, build rapport, demonstrate expertise, determine customers’ needs, propose solutions, follow up on open proposals, and bring all proposals to a sale.
- PROJECT MANAGE – Follows up on sold jobs from beginning to end.
- TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT – Attends weekly meetings, participates in ride-alongs and practices the sales process.
- UPHOLD CORE VALUES – lives out the company’s purpose, mission and values and provides remarkable customer experiences.
QUALIFICATIONS: WHAT YOU OFFER
- KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of sales, marketing and/or customer service principles and practices. Knowledge of construction principles and practices preferred.
- EXPERIENCE: A combination of education and experience that illustrates a proven track record in this field, and a consistent work history. Associate or bachelor's degree preferred. Those with prior experience in construction sales or project management are encouraged to apply.
- REQUIREMENTS: A valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, and the ability to drive on behalf of the company up to 75% of the time. Ability to exert up to 20 lb. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects. Ability to move about and move to/from and work from the floor level or in crawl spaces. Ability to meet the requirements of background check.
