GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

An IT Manager will lead the management of our technology infrastructure, software systems, vendor relationships, and IT projects. This role is critical to ensuring our organization remains compliant (including HIPAA), secure, and efficient in supporting both internal users and external client-facing systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

Key Responsibilities:

Vendor & Technology Management

  • Lead day-to-day management of IT vendors and service providers (MSPs, software vendors, security providers, etc.).
  • Evaluate vendor performance, ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met, and manage renewals and negotiations.
  • Oversee implementation and integration of third-party software tools and systems.

Project & Process Management

  • Manage and deliver technology projects on time and within budget, including software rollouts, upgrades, and infrastructure changes.
  • Define project scopes, timelines, and resources; coordinate with internal stakeholders and vendors.
  • Continuously identify and implement process improvements in IT operations and service delivery.

Security & Compliance

  • Ensure IT systems and practices comply with HIPAA and other relevant data protection regulations.
  • Coordinate security audits and risk assessments; respond to findings with corrective action plans.
  • Oversee implementation of IT policies, including access controls, data encryption, and disaster recovery.

Operational IT Support

  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes for employees, including provisioning/deprovisioning of accounts, access rights, and devices.
  • Support end-user needs across hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Maintain system documentation and asset inventory.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for IT-related initiatives and escalations across departments.
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver clear documentation, reports, and training as needed.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

3-5 years of IT experience with strong understanding of technology and security compliance

  • Proven success in vendor management and project management, especially in small to mid-sized organizations.
  • Solid understanding of HIPAA and data privacy regulations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows and Office 365 is required.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, endpoint management, and cybersecurity best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in insurance, healthcare, or TPA environments.
  • Experience with Claims Management systems
  • Familiarity with ITIL or similar IT service management frameworks.

Job Type: Full-time

Projected Total Compensation: $73,150.66 - $79,116.91 per year
