EPIC DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR

- (240269)
Responsible for the installation, administration, configuration, maintenance and proactive monitoring of the Epic production and non-production environments. Ensures the reliability, security and performance of the highly complex Epic systems, providing ongoing support and technical expertise. Additionally, responsible for database management including design, implementation, maintenance, monitoring, scripting, and the use of vendor specific database tools; providing general support of all systems utilizing database technology; proper documentation and following appropriate change management procedures including testing and documentation of all changes, ensuring that the integrity of the systems are maintained when applications are enhanced and modified; capacity planning in conjunction with other system managers to ensure the database has ample space for growth; guiding and consulting with IT staff and advises users of various databases; quality control and auditing of databases to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data. Shared 24/7 on-call support of production database services to ensure the highest standards of availability, resilience, integrity, security and performance.

Education
Bachelors Degree : in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Required)
Masters Degree : in Information Systems or related field (Preferred)
Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Experience
5 Years experience working in a hospital/healthcare IT/Technology environment (Required)
5 Years relevant experience with Epic Operation Systems (Required)
5 Years experience with Unix/Linux Server OS, VMware and Citrix (Preferred)

License/Certifications
EC - Epic Certification (Required)
