Job description
We are looking for an IT Systems & Applications Specialist at Meltric’s headquarters in Franklin, Wisconsin. This Specialist serves as the on-site technology lead for the company, responsible for maintaining reliable IT operations, supporting business-critical software (especially the ERP), and coordinating with external IT service providers (MSP) and software vendors.
This role bridges technical systems and business operations to ensure that hardware, software, and users are effectively supported across departments. The position is hands-on and strategic, providing both day-to-day problem-solving and longer-term technology direction.
Main responsibilities include:
1. ERP & Business Applications Management
· Serve as the internal administrator and support lead for the ERP system.
· Coordinate with the ERP vendor for support, patches, and system changes.
· Support integration and data sharing between ERP, CRM, shipping, payroll, and other business systems.
· Develops custom scripts and reporting applications for data extraction and analysis ; maintains and improves database-driven reporting systems to support business intelligence and audit functions.
· Work with department leaders to understand software needs, test updates, and document procedures.
2. IT Operations & MSP Coordination
· Act as the internal point of contact for IT issues, escalating to the MSP as needed.
· Manage relationships with the Managed Service Provider (MSP), ensuring service levels and issue resolution.
· Oversee companywide IT assets: computers, printers, networking equipment, and user accounts.
· Maintain IT documentation including system inventory, access lists, and backup verification.
· Coordinate system upgrades, deployments, and user onboarding/offboarding.
3. User Support & Training
· Provide on-site user support for common IT and software issues.
· Train employees in basic IT best practices and ERP/software usage.
· Develop simple how-to guides or quick reference documents for recurring issues.
4. IT Planning & Continuous Improvement
· Identify opportunities to streamline business processes through better use of technology.
· Maintain documentation of data flows, integrations, and key system configurations.
· Work with leadership to develop a long-term IT roadmap and budget priorities.
· Recommend tools, vendors, and process improvements for future scalability.
· Performs all other duties as assigned.
Candidate’s Profile
Hard Skills:
-5+ years of experience in IT, business systems, or ERP administration (Manufacturing preferred)
-Programming experience in SQL required.
-Experience with Microsoft Office 365 required.
-Software integration experience required.
-Hands-on knowledge of common business systems (ERP, CRM, timekeeping, shipping, accounting). Global Shop experience preferred.
- General knowledge of network hardware/protocols and desktop hardware/operating systems.
-Experience coordinating external IT vendors or MSPs.
-Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on projects independently.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
