Secondary English Teacher - Immediate Start

Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time, temporary (until January 2026 with potential to extend)
Key Stages: KS3 & KS4
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Eligibility: Must have the right to work in the UK - no sponsorship available
A highly regarded secondary school in Reading, Berkshire, rated Good by Ofsted, is seeking a committed and enthusiastic English Teacher to join the team immediately to cover a long-term staff absence.
This role offers a full teaching timetable for KS3 and KS4, with opportunities for extended placement depending on staffing needs in the new year. You will be joining a supportive and well-established English department with a strong focus on student achievement and engagement.
The Ideal Candidate Will:

Be a qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent

Have experience teaching English at Key Stages 3 and 4

Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
