Would you like a role in which you can fully utilise your Cloud expertise?
The Cloud Solutions Architect will design and drive cloud strategies, architectures and migrations for our customers, ensuring secure, scalable, reliable, high-performance infrastructure that aligns with business and compliance needs.
The role could suit a techy who would like to get into a more customer-focused role blending technology and sales. You'll be the technical lead on guiding customers and prospects with architectural advice.
We are looking for someone to drive cloud innovation internally and with customers, transforming IT landscapes and accelerating their journey to the cloud.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with clients and internal stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into cloud architecture designs that meet performance, resilience, scalability, security, and regulatory/compliance goals.
- Design solutions across public cloud, private cloud, hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments, ensuring optimal use of Hyve’s infrastructure and partner technologies.
- Create and maintain detailed network diagrams and design documents
- Experience designing bespoke hosting solutions (bespoke infrastructure, managed hosting) rather than purely off-the-shelf cloud designs.
Preferred Technical Skills:
- Strong experience (e.g. 5+ years) designing, building, and operating cloud/hosting solutions in managed services/hosting environments.
- Hands-on knowledge of virtualization and infrastructure platforms (e.g. VMware, Redhat, storage technologies, network design) as well as public cloud provider(s) if in use.
- Solid understanding of networking, load balancing, DNS, firewalls, VPNs, segmentation, etc.
- Ability to architect bespoke solutions based on specific customer requirements
- Certifications are a plus (AWS / Azure / GCP / VMware / relevant security or architecture credentials).
