Job description

Our partner's large and growing program is responsible for telecommunications, cloud, data center, and network services across for major government centers and facilities in the U.S.! The Voice Services Networking team is preparing for a large transition for approx. 50,000 end users moving from Cisco Telephony to Microsoft Telephony (MS Teams Phone) to provide more efficient solutions including Enhanced 911 compliance for their customers. Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in Cisco Telephony, VoIP, and unified communications engineering– Jabber, Call Manager (CUCM), Communications Manager (CME), Unity Connection (CUC)
  • 2+ years of hands-on VMWare experience configuring, patching, and upgrading VMs hosting telephony applications
  • Extensive experience w/ Windows Servers - monitoring, configuring accounts and integrations (voicemail, telephony applications)
  • Understanding of MS Telephony platform (Microsoft Teams Phone) – ideally supporting integrations/migrations
  • Excellent communication & collaboration skills – ability to work with customers directly, architects, and other engineering teams to support migration planning efforts

Preferred Skills:

  • Hands on SecureLogix experience for Voice Network Security
  • E911 compliance understanding
  • Experience with large-scale telephony migration projects (Cisco → Microsoft Teams Phone)
  • Strong background supporting Government/Federal agencies in compliance-driven environments

Responsibilities:

  • Configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain VMware VMs hosting telephony applications, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Manage and support Windows Server environments, including user accounts, voicemail integration, and telephony application connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve telephony issues, including SIP, T1/PRI, CUCM logs, and endpoint registration, coordinating across systems and network teams.
  • Support the migration of ~50,000 users from Cisco Telephony (CUCM, CME, Jabber, Unity Connection) to Microsoft Teams Phone, ensuring minimal disruption and E911 compliance.
  • Collaborate with customers, architects, and cross-functional engineering teams to plan, implement, and optimize unified communications solutions.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
