Information about the Company: Cenveo is a leading North American manufacturer of envelopes. Hiring immediately for 2nd & 3rd shift Machine Operators (Adjuster Trainees) in our City of Industry, CA manufacturing plant.
Note: This is a developmental role that requires the individual to be successfully progressing to a Machine Adjuster position by successfully completing the training The individual’s performance will be evaluated to determine progress in and suitability for the role.
Machine Operator (Adjuster Trainee) Pay/Schedule:
- Starting pay $21.47/hr or higher depending on experience + shift premiums
- 2nd shift premium $0.70/hr and 3rd shift premium $1.50/hr
- 2nd shift: 2pm - 10pm ; 3rd shift 10pm - 6am; Training is on 1st shift 6am - 2pm
- Schedule: Mon - Fri / Sat required during busy season/based on business needs
Machine Operator (Machine Adjuster Trainee) Responsibilities & Daily Duties:
- Basic understanding and ability to operate an envelope machine
- Basic understanding and ability to make print changes
- Basic understanding and ability to window changes
- Basic understanding and ability to make a full change
- Remove/install parts; Time parts of machine to produce correct sized envelope
- Overtime as needed; Compliance with safety rules and regulations.
- Maintains clean machine and work area (sweeps, removes waste, etc).
- Other duties and assignments as required.
Machine Operator (Machine Adjuster Trainee) Requirements/Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant hands on mechanical experience
- Intermediate-Advanced ability to set up, troubleshoot; repair machines; problem-solve
- Basic math skills and the ability to accurately read a ruler; basic computer skills.
- Flexibility required with machine assignment.
Machine Operator (Machine Adjuster Trainee) Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- Regular standing, walking, carrying, climbing, reaching, bending, stooping.
- Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 55 pounds with assistance.
- Exposure to production equipment, noise, hazardous materials (inks, solvents, glue, etc.).
- Must be able to work in hot or cold weather.
- Ability to handle high-speed delivery output in a standing position for a full shift.
- Mental alertness to stop equipment when jam occurs.
