We’re seeking a Senior Software Architect to design and deliver scalable, high-performance commerce applications supporting enterprise-grade payments and secure transactions.
This is a hands-on architecture role: if you’re someone who thrives designing systems at scale and still likes to dive into code, collaborate closely with engineering, and guide solutions from whiteboard to production, we want to talk.
Strong payment industry experience and cloud-native architecture are non-negotiable — you must have built or integrated with APIs like Stripe, Adyen, Verifone, or similar in real, high-volume environments.
What You'll Do
· Architect resilient systems supporting multi-million-dollar transaction flows
· Lead modernization and re-architecture of enterprise platforms, including cloud-native services
· Contribute hands-on to the core .NET/React stack and Azure infrastructure
· Own high-level technical direction while guiding development teams through daily implementation
· Collaborate with product managers, C-suite leaders, and internal stakeholders on solution strategy
· Ensure architecture supports performance, security, scalability, and maintainability
Required Experience
· 3+ years designing and/or integrating with major payment platforms (e.g., Stripe, Adyen, Verifone, Square)
· 3+ years building high-volume, multi-threaded transactional systems, preferably in financial or commerce environments
· 3+ years production experience with Azure cloud services, including Azure Service Bus, Event Hub, and Azure Functions
· 10+ years of total experience in backend or full-stack software development (.NET preferred)
· Deep understanding of distributed systems, message-driven architecture, and secure transaction patterns
· Comfortable presenting and defending architectural decisions to both engineers and executive stakeholders
Bonus Points For
· Experience with React, SPA frameworks, or modern frontend architecture
· Prior work in eCommerce, digital payments, or fintech
· Background leading legacy system migration to service-oriented or event-driven architecture
· Familiarity with performance tuning, telemetry, and observability in high-scale systems
