AWS DevOps Engineer - Healthcare Staffing & Technology Company - Newark
$120K-$130K, salary commensurate with experience, plus annual bonus)This is an in-office position, Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm

Our application, AllShifts, gives nurse staffers across the country the easiest way to see available shifts in their area and select those they want to work. For nursing facilities, it’s the easiest and fastest way to find nurse staff who meet their requirements and their scheduling needs 24/7/365. AllShifts needs an experienced AWS Engineer with Cloud Infrastructure and DBA experience. Reporting to the leaders on the dev team, you must have at least 3 years of related experience. You must be highly creative, self-driven, and proactive. The AWS Engineer will be responsible for applying expertise to develop and execute requirements, procedures, and guidelines for AWS Infrastructure, ensuring zero down-time in all the applications and services of AllShifts. In addition, it will be desirable for this role to contribute to software development efforts.
Responsibilities:
● Implement AWS infrastructure (including but not limited to VPCs and related networking, Code Pipelines, ECS, RDS, IAM, SNS, API Gateway, Load Balancing, etc)
● Implement and manage monitoring of AWS and AllShifts application services and performance
● PostgreSQL database administration including upgrades, backups, performance and resiliency
● Secure infrastructure and data with appropriate best practices and technologies
● Act as the gatekeeper to the production systems
● Troubleshoot, diagnose and fix certain AllShift software issues
● Administer internal development services such as Atlassian products (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket), Jenkins, Google Cloud services, etc.
● Manage the deployments of iOS and Android apps
Required Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, computer science or relevant experience.
● Minimum 5+ years of overall experience managing AWS Infrastructure / DevOps
● Expertise and experience with AWS and database security best practices
● Expertise with Bash scripting including but not limited to AWS CLI scripting, git, curl, etc.

● AWS certifications (DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect, etc.)
● Experience using Issue & Project Tracking Software
