The Star of Honolulu Cruises and Events, one of Hawaii’s top 250 companies has been operating as a premier tour company for more than 60 years. We are looking for a professional to join our team as an Systems Administrator! Aloha spirit and a positive attitude are essential.

Moreover, remote work is not available for this position. Salary will be commensurate with education, experience, and skills.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and other devices
• Maintain documentation for troubleshooting and knowledge-sharing
• Data recovery / Mitigate hardware or software failures.
• Communicate effectively with end-users and other IT staff

Requirements:

• 4 year degree in CS, IT, or similar
• Experience working IT in organization with at least 50 users, or equivalent
• Comfortable with verbal & written communication
• Skilled in network and computer administration
• Ability to positively contribute in team environment

Critical Attributes:

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Mastery of standard computer hardware (memory modules, hard drive, etc.)
• Competent in basic networking
• Knowledgeable of Windows server and desktop operating system
• Experienced and capable with basic technical trouble shooting
• Ability to visit various locations in Honolulu
• Willing and able to occasionally work evenings and weekends
