Job description
We are seeking a Systems Operations Manager to lead day-to-day remote monitoring and control activities from our on-site command center in Phoenix, AZ. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on ensuring regional systems are continuously monitored, supported, and optimized for reliable performance.
This role is full-time, hourly, targeting 40 hours/week.
Essential Duties:
- Lead, coach, and develop a small remote and control operations team.
- Ensure consistent daily oversight and support across all regional sites.
- Oversee remote operation of field-deployed systems using proprietary software.
- Track system performance, KPIs, and trends to detect issues early.
- Maintain accurate reporting, incident logging, and compliance with operating procedures.
- Partner with field teams to troubleshoot and resolve system issues efficiently.
- Implement process improvements to increase uptime, reduce costs, and streamline operations.
- Anticipate risks and develop contingency plans.
- Own key metrics including system availability, maintenance response time, and service level performance.
- Use data insights to support ongoing improvements and decision-making.
- Support development and deployment of AI tools and workflows.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to implement AI-driven solutions and insights.
- Serve as the liaison between remote operations, field teams, engineering, and leadership.
- Coordinate scheduled maintenance and service activities with field operations.
- Support field visits as needed.
Education & Qualificiations:
- 7+ years of technical service or related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree required (Operations Management, Agricultural Engineering, or similar).
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Preferred certifications: ERP software, Lean Six Sigma, Project Management, Data Analytics.
- Preferred experience: agriculture, process controls, AI implementation.
- Strong ability to follow, create, and improve operational procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel strongly preferred); required experience with Teams, NetSuite, and SharePoint.
- Experience with electronics, remote controls, and input/output devices.
- Ability to safely install, repair, test, and troubleshoot plumbing, mechanical, and electrical equipment.
- Flexible schedule availability, including weekends.
- Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable using hand/power tools and PPE.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $72,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
