Job Description:
As the Network Operations and IT Manager, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our network operations and IT infrastructure to support our satellite communication services. You will oversee a team of IT and network professionals, ensure the stability and security of our systems, and lead initiatives to enhance network performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
● IT Infrastructure Management: Manage IT systems, including servers, databases, and applications, ensuring their reliability, security, and optimal performance.
● Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of network and IT professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
● Performance Monitoring: Implement and manage network monitoring tools to track performance, detect issues, and generate reports for analysis and optimization.
● Incident Management: Respond to and manage network and IT incidents, coordinating with relevant teams to resolve issues and minimize downtime.
● Security Management: Ensure robust security measures are in place to protect network and IT assets from cyber threats and comply with industry standards and regulations.
● Project Management: Plan and execute network and IT projects, including upgrades, installations, and system integrations, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
● Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services.
● Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of network and IT infrastructure, configurations, and procedures for operational continuity and compliance.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
● Proven experience as a Network Manager, IT Manager, or similar role, with a strong background in network operations and IT infrastructure management.
● In-depth knowledge of satellite communication systems, networking protocols, and IT security practices.
● Experience with network monitoring and management tools, as well as IT management software.
● Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
● Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on fostering a collaborative work environment.
● Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
● Project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
