Duties

  • Apply finishing techniques such as staining, painting, sealing, and varnishing to cabinetry surfaces to achieve desired aesthetic and protective qualities
  • Sand, buff, and smooth surfaces to ensure flawless finishes that meet quality standards
  • Inspect completed work for imperfections or defects and perform touch-ups or corrections as needed
  • Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately follow design specifications during finishing processes
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and spray equipment safely and efficiently for surface preparation and finishing tasks
  • Collaborate with carpenters and fabrication teams during assembly and installation phases to ensure seamless integration of finished cabinetry
  • Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools, disposing of waste materials, and adhering to safety protocols at all times

Requirements

  • Proven experience in cabinetry finishing, woodworking, or related construction fields with a focus on detail-oriented craftsmanship
  • Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and fabrication techniques
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools such as sanders, brushes, scrapers, caulking guns, as well as power tools including spray guns and orbital sanders
  • Familiarity with construction site safety practices and ability to work safely in various environments including restoration projects or manufacturing settings
  • Ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks with stamina and precision
  • Experience with surface preparation techniques like plastering or stucco application is a plus
  • Strong understanding of industry standards for restoration or remodeling projects involving cabinetry or woodwork
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and reading detailed schematics or technical instructions
  • Prior experience in the restoration industry or water damage remediation is advantageous but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
