Ploom, Inc. is an Austin-based Capital Factory (Texas' premiere accelerator) startup looking for four Front End Developers to help bring our first offering to market. This is an opportunity to get involved with a startup that is, hopefully, only weeks away from revenue/traction as there are only a few front end fixes left to complete on our first solution, which can be seen here (beta, no traffic, very little inventory, some bugs): https://ploom.style. Beyond the small amount of bugs we have left, we're looking for talent to begin the next phase of our development roadmap.

The idea is a Big Idea that has strong potential to change, at a fundamental level, how people shop for products online and in stores, beginning in apparel, the world's largest e-commerce category. However, the underlying play is actually a core AI-tech play: we have our own technology that is far more cost-effective and power-efficient than today's LLMs for many, many, large-market use cases. Basically, we are orders-of-magnitude more compute-efficient when processing queries, while it takes only a couple of folks maybe 2-3 months to train our model per use case - of which both benefits clearly present very large advantage over currently deployed technologies.
