Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join our IT team who’s eager to further develop technical skills being part of a high-paced, growing business. This person will build solutions, implement new software and hardware, provide training, and assist in developing the overall IT strategy. From early on, the systems administrator will empower breakthrough innovations, take on challenging assignments, lead initiatives, and be responsible for results. Primary areas of responsibility include Windows and Linux Operating systems (Server and Client) configuration and system management, Network Management, Intranet services support, email services, as well as backend software support and troubleshooting. Monitoring system performance, high availability and troubleshooting issues. Flexible schedule and on-call duties will be required of all candidates.

Job Responsibilities:

· Strong understanding of networking concepts, network engineering, and network performance analysis.

· Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network devices, and virtualization

  • Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups
  • Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
  • Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
  • Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
  • Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions

Job Requirements:

· Proven success in an IT role.

· Proven Experience with Windows and Linux Server Administration.

· Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).

· Knowledge of security best practices and tools.

· VMware, KVM, HCI or similar Virtualization Knowledge.

· Windows Active Directory/ Microsoft Entra ID administration and group policy management.

· Proven Experience with Networking Administration including install, configuration, and maintaining network hardware and software, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.

· Advanced Knowledge on email services administration, DNS, SMTP, SNMP, DHCP, SMB, NFS, SFTP and VPN services.

· Mac OSX experience preferred.

· iSeries/AS400 knowledge a plus.

· Strong attention to detail. Ability to work with minimum supervision producing results.
