.NET Solutions Architect

Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid, Onsite 2 days/week)
Duration: 1+ year (extension likely)
Pay Rate: $50/hr - $70/hr (variable dependent)

Overview: This role involves redesigning and migrating existing VB6 and .NET desktop applications into a modern web-based solution. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft Azure Cloud Services, .NET Core, and enterprise-level architecture, with hands-on experience in web services and database integration.

Must Haves:

• 5+ years in software engineering, solution architecture, or enterprise-level development.
• Proven experience with .NET Core and modern web application design.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud Services and architecture.
• Expertise in Entity Framework Core, JSON Serialization, and Web Services (RESTful APIs, SOAP).
• Familiarity with VB6 and .NET Windows Forms applications/code.

Nice to Haves:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and CI/CD tools (Git, Azure DevOps).
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and compliance frameworks.
