Job description
Position: Senior SQL Database Administrator (DMS Database Administrator)
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Location: United States (Remote)
Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SQL Database Administrator (DMS Database Administrator) to support and optimize enterprise-level SQL databases used within document management systems. The ideal candidate will manage performance, ensure data integrity and security, and oversee database migrations. This is a 6-month contractual role, open exclusively to candidates based in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
● Develop and maintain master tables, metadata baselines, and database models for DMS platforms.
● Document database architecture, dependencies, security configurations, and data flows.
● Optimize SQL performance, including query tuning, indexing, and capacity planning.
● Oversee and execute data migration processes for DMS databases.
● Implement and enforce database integrity, security policies, backup strategies, and compliance documentation.
● Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams to support enterprise DMS operations.
● Troubleshoot database issues proactively and ensure minimal downtime.
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
● Minimum 6+ years of SQL database administration experience in production environments.
● Experience working with Singularity DMS or similar enterprise document management systems.
● Microsoft Certified SQL Server DBA or equivalent certification preferred.
● Strong expertise in SQL Server management, optimization, migrations, and security best practices.
● Excellent analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

● Must be based in the United States.
● Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
● Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with cross-functional teams.
