Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Senior Applications Engineer specializing in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and Automation Systems. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining complex application solutions that support manufacturing and logistics operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in system architecture, solution design, and integration within cloud and on-premises environments, ensuring seamless operation, security, and scalability of enterprise applications. This position offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as microservices, cloud computing, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Participate in solution design for new projects and new business/system requirements; support implementation planning and deployment activities.
• Independently complete testing for assigned system modules; support go-live readiness, user training, and post-go-live issue resolution.
• Own day-to-day operations support for WMS and MES, and related systems/platforms (WCS, DCS, SCADA, AGV/automation interfaces) across warehouse and shop-floor environments.
• Maintain and continuously update operations documentation, including runbooks, user guides, SOPs, and training materials.
• Perform routine system checks/inspections and respond to ITSM/Helpdesk tickets; provide user support via phone/email and on-site troubleshooting.
• Identify operational risks and recurring issues; drive issue tracking and end-to-end resolution, including root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Evaluate system functionality and performance; propose and implement optimization to improve stability, efficiency, and user experience.
• Support user requirement gathering, process mapping, and training delivery; ensure solutions meet business needs.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior applications engineers; support knowledge transfer and team capability building.
• Continuously learn additional modules and applications to expand functional coverage and implementation capability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (full-time) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Automation, Communications, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on WMS and/or MES implementation experience or production support (operations/run) experience.
• Experience supporting or implementing at least one of the following: AS/RS (automated warehouse), AGV, RGV.
• Solid database fundamentals; able to write SQL scripts for data queries and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse/manufacturing digital systems and integrations (WMS, MES, WCS, DCS, SCADA, automation equipment interfaces).
• Familiarity with ERP distribution modules preferred.
• C# or Java programming experience preferred; or ability to read code, troubleshoot issues, and write automation/operations scripts in another language.
• Excellent communication and customer service mindset; able to clarify user needs and translate them into practical system solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead technical projects across diverse teams. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
