We’re seeking a seasoned Senior Guidewire PolicyCenter Architect to play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic and technical direction of complex Guidewire Policy Center initiatives. This expert-level position involves a blend of hands-on architecture work, leadership, and forward-thinking technology planning to support mission-critical enterprise solutions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Define long-term strategies and detailed roadmaps for Guidewire Policy Center implementations, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Provide technical vision and leadership across multiple projects that leverage Guidewire applications.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive architectural documentation and technical designs for review and approval.
- Oversee all layers of project architecture—business, application, information, and technology—ensuring cohesive and scalable solutions.
- Advocate for the reuse of tools, frameworks, and processes to drive efficiency across projects.
- Create and maintain reference architectures, governance standards, and compliance frameworks to be shared enterprise-wide.
- Identify and manage technical risks, platform dependencies, and architectural impacts across the portfolio.
- Lead evaluations of architectural components, recommending optimal approaches for complex challenges.
- Integrate emerging technologies into solution designs to support evolving business needs.
- Communicate a clear and compelling vision for enterprise platforms, application capabilities, and shared technical solutions.
- Ensure applications and platforms remain aligned with enterprise standards and modernization efforts.
- Provide mentorship to Solution Architects and Senior Solution Architects, supporting their professional development.

Required Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Analysis, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- At least 10 years of industry experience, including 5+ years in a senior architecture role with progressive responsibilities.
- Hands-on experience designing solutions across diverse technologies, business systems, and processing environments.
- Proven background in solution architecture and development.
- Deep familiarity with Guidewire Insurance Suite – Policy Center, including cloud migrations, data integrations, APIs, MFA, SSO, and performance optimization.
- Strong understanding of the Property & Casualty insurance domain, including how changes in one system impact the broader business environment.
Job Type: Temp-to-hire
Pay: $80.00 - $95.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
