Job Summary:

The IT Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining, supporting, and optimizing the company’s network infrastructure across retail store locations, warehouses, and corporate offices. This role ensures reliable connectivity for point-of-sale systems, inventory platforms, and internal communications critical to daily retail operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless systems) across multiple retail locations
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues impacting stores, distribution centers, and headquarters
• Support POS systems and ensure secure, consistent uptime for sales transactions
• Manage VPNs and remote access solutions for multi-site connectivity
• Implement and maintain network security protocols, including firewalls, intrusion detection, and access controls
• Coordinate with third-party vendors and ISPs for service delivery and issue resolution
• Perform routine system backups, updates, and patch management
• Maintain documentation of network architecture, configurations, and procedures
• Assist in planning and executing network upgrades, expansions, and new store openings
• Provide technical support to internal staff and escalate issues when necessary

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3–5+ years of network administration experience in a multi-site environment
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and network security practices
• Experience with enterprise networking equipment (e.g., Cisco, Ubiquiti, Fortinet)
• Familiarity with Windows Server environments and Active Directory
• Experience supporting retail systems, especially POS and inventory platforms
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent
• Experience in retail or furniture sales environments
• Knowledge of cloud networking (Azure, AWS)
• Familiarity with VoIP systems and surveillance networks (CCTV)

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
