ABOUT THE ROLE
The Junior Security Analyst will be responsible for protecting Sound Physicians’ assets and ensuring compliance with security program requirements, reporting directly to the Manager of Information Security. This role requires maintaining and advancing security practices and standards while staying ahead of evolving cyber threats. Analysts must continuously learn and adapt to the latest attack methods, demonstrating a proactive and passionate approach to safeguarding the organization. This is not a passive role but one that demands dedication, rigor, and a commitment to ongoing growth in the ever-changing security landscape. The Junior Security Analyst will focus on developing and strengthening their skills and provide risk and threat statistics to management.
The Details: This is a full-time, remote position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze, track and supply information for remediation of information security risks across the enterprise
- Provide Tier 1 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of incidents
- Monitor security solutions such as antivirus/malware, tracking software, IDS/IPS and SIEM
- follow procedures and playbooks for routine security processes
- Collaborate with teams, including IT Operations, IT Engineering and Help Desk, to maintain and enhance organization security
- Support incident manager during high and critical incidents
- Assist in the implementation and optimization of security projects
- Provide intel for threat learning
- Provide risk and threat statistics to management
- conduct technical security research for improving skills and knowledge
- Provide policy recommendations

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows platforms
- Experience with Azure Cloud and Intune
- Knowledge of Rapid7, Microsoft Defender preferred
- Knowledge of Android and IoS platforms

- Knowledge of AI and Automation

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Associate’s degree in relevant field is required
- 1-2 years of experience in IT related field is required; 1-2 years of experience in Information Security is preferred.
SALARY RANGE $65,000-$75,000 annually. Exact pay will be determined based on candidate experience and geographic location.
