Job Title: Enterprise System EngineerClient: BCPSLocation: RemoteDuration:2+ Years Job SummaryThe Cloud Platform Administrator will support and administer cloud-based collaboration platforms, primarily Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. This role works closely with senior cloud systems administrators and cross-functional teams to ensure cloud applications are secure, reliable, compliant, and aligned with organizational needs. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, detail-oriented, and capable of supporting enterprise cloud environments through automation, monitoring, documentation, and user support.Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily administration and operational support of Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace environments, including:
- SharePoint site administration
- Microsoft Teams management
- User account provisioning and de-provisioning
- License assignment and usage management
- Troubleshooting platform-related issues
- Develop, maintain, and execute PowerShell scripts to automate monitoring, reporting, and management of cloud resources.
- Monitor system performance, availability, usage, and security across Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace platforms.
- Author and maintain change control documentation and enterprise-wide communications to ensure transparency and proper governance of cloud platform updates.
- Collaborate with senior cloud administrators to implement best practices for:
- Data protection and retention
- Identity and access management
- Security controls and compliance requirements
- Respond to and resolve helpdesk tickets related to SharePoint, file sharing, collaboration tools, and cloud productivity services.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes by monitoring and adjusting automated provisioning and de-provisioning of user accounts and associated resources.
- Assist with platform updates, patches, and configuration changes to maintain the reliability, performance, and security of cloud services.
- Create and maintain documentation for procedures, configurations, automation scripts, and troubleshooting guides to support knowledge sharing and training.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to cloud infrastructure, automation, and service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience administering Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, or similar cloud collaboration platforms.
- Strong experience using PowerShell to automate and manage cloud applications and services.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently while effectively contributing as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience administering Google Workspace, including familiarity with GAM scripting.
- Knowledge of or experience supporting Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $49.00 - $59.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
