R&S Northeast and AvKARE, LLC is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Cybersecurity Analyst to assist with maintaining the security and integrity of all digital platforms. The Cybersecurity Analyst will report directly to the Director of IT and will be responsible for establishing, executing, and maintaining cybersecurity policies, procedures, processes, and documentation. The Cybersecurity Analyst will also be responsible for monitoring networks and systems for security events and implementing measures to improve awareness and prevent security breaches. In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity and compliance is required. The ideal candidate knows how to collaborate on large-scale projects but can also complete assigned tasks on his or her own

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Continuously monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and security breaches
• Investigate security incidents, analyze data, and respond to threats in real-time
• Identify and assess vulnerabilities in systems, networks, and software
• Research and analyze new and emerging threats to determine risk and plan for mitigation
• Assist in the configuration and implementation of monitoring tools and software
• Perform ethical hacking to simulate real-world cyberattacks, identify vulnerabilities, and provide remediation advice where necessary
• Provide security status reports and risk assessments, and communicate findings to management
• Maintain up-to-date, detailed documentation for IT policies, procedures, and processes
• Develop and perform user training exercises to keep users informed and minimize the risk of human error
• Additional duties assigned based on changes to business needs

Desired Qualifications

• Knowledge of various network protocols, operating systems, and cybersecurity concepts
• Strong understanding of IT security frameworks, standards, and guidelines, including NIST and CMMC
• Experience with vulnerability scanning and penetration testing method
• Ability to work with network security tools such as firewalls and endpoint security to identify, isolate, and mitigate threats
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and self-learning ability
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evening and weekend hours
• Professional certifications, such as CISSP, CCP, OSCP, or CEH

WORKING CONDITIONS/Physical Requirements

Must be able to travel as required with the ability to sit and stand for extended periods. Work environment is usually performed in a home, office or customer setting. Lift and carry product computer material weighing up to 15 lbs. Requires use of a computer, copier, fax, phone and other standard office equipment. Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in operation of office equipment. Body motor skills sufficient to move from one location to another.

Travel

Must be willing to travel assigned geography which will include daily and some overnight travel up to 15%
