SUMMARY
Reporting to the Program Manager, Digital UX/UI Design, the Sr. Communications Designer - UI/UX/Accessibility will identify opportunities that will improve how people who use assistive technology interact with digital experiences. You will be an advocate, coach, and problem solver focused on delivering and improving the accessibility needs of individuals who rely on MD Anderson Cancer Center services and resources worldwide. In addition, provide support and design assistance of best practices in UI/UX. The position supports a wide range of organizational projects and constituents and collaborates closely with colleagues in Strategic Communications, Marketing, and Information Services.
The ideal candidate will be CPACC certified (Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies) with expertise in accessibility, web design, and ADA compliance to create user-friendly digital experiences and a proven ability to ensure digital content meets accessibility standards. A strong understanding of ADA requirements in graphic design, public relations, communications, writing/editing, or related fields and experience in UI/UX design for websites, as well as proficiency in HTML and CSS is preferred.

Education
Required: Associate's degree in graphic design or related field.
Experience
Required: Five years of experience in graphic design, public relations, communications, writing/editing or related field. May substitute required degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
