Role Overview

The Cloud Solutions Architect is responsible for leading cloud computing initiatives and defining cloud architecture strategies across business and IT functions. This role involves designing, planning, and implementing scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions while guiding cloud migration, modernization, and innovation initiatives across AWS and Google Cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud application and infrastructure architectures aligned with business and technical goals
• Architect scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions following industry best practices
• Assess existing infrastructure and define cloud migration strategies, timelines, and resource plans
• Implement and validate cloud migrations while ensuring data integrity and system performance
• Ensure cloud solutions comply with regulatory and industry standards
• Implement and oversee cloud security controls to protect data and applications
• Monitor cloud performance and optimize scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into cloud solutions
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship on cloud technologies and best practices
• Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, AI/ML trends, and generative AI solutions
• Guide business and technical leaders on AI/ML/GenAI initiatives across AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure
• Develop reference architectures, runbooks, and training materials

Minimum Requirements

• 10+ years of experience architecting enterprise solutions across on-prem and cloud environments
• 8+ years of experience architecting solutions on AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• 8+ years of experience designing cloud-native application architectures
• 8+ years of experience utilizing IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS service models
• 8+ years of experience delivering Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Deep Learning solutions using AWS or Google technologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of virtual networks, VPNs, DNS, load balancers, and firewalls
• Experience with cloud security frameworks, IAM, encryption, and compliance standards (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Proficiency in Python, Java, C#, and scripting for automation
• Experience with API design and management (REST, SOAP)
• Knowledge of microservices, serverless architectures, and cloud-native development
• Ability to analyze and optimize cloud costs while maintaining performance and reliability
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present cloud strategies to stakeholders
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Experience with cloud monitoring and performance optimization tools
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Bedrock, SageMaker, Redshift, EC2, EMR, Kinesis, Data Pipeline
• Experience with AI platforms such as AWS AI Services or Google Vertex AI, Agent Builder
• Cloud certifications preferred (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect)

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $70.00 - $90.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
