We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Azure. This hybrid role is pivotal in implementing, maintaining, and enhancing cloud infrastructure to support internal projects at the New York Blood Center. Based remotely in any of our enterprise locations—NYC metro area, Delaware, Rhode Island, Kansas City, or Nebraska—you will join our dedicated Enterprise Analytics and Data Science team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, manage, and monitor Azure cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security compliance.
- Provide technical guidance and support to data engineering and software teams, defining cloud infrastructure requirements and best practices.
- Engineer and manage automated solutions for resource optimization, security, and backups on the Azure platform.
- Stay updated with the latest in cloud technology, adjusting strategies to leverage cutting-edge tools and practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field with at least 6 years of dedicated Azure cloud service development experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Azure services including VMs, App Services, Azure SQL Database, Azure Functions, and Azure DevOps.
- Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a track record of working under minimal supervision.
Preferred:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment using Azure DevOps.
