We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our growing Analytics team. As a Data Scientist with analytics focus, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing complex data sets which will provide insight into departmental and company efficiencies which will inform key business decisions.

The ideal candidate for this position possesses the eagerness and ability to learn in a fast-paced environment. They will have the aptitude to collaborate with team members to create applicable analysis reports in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Write effective, scalable code to optimize efficiencies within company processes as well as use by key decision makers
• Develop backend components to improve responsiveness and overall performance
• Debug programs and integrating applications with thirdparty web services
• Implement security and data protection solutions
• Assist in creation and deployment of reporting mechanisms
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions

Requirements and skills

• Technical degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or relevant field
• At least two years’ experience as a Data Scientist, Python Developer or similar role
• Understanding of Algorithms and Data Structures in Python
• Expertise with Python data packages (Pandas, NumPy), Python Data Structures and knowledge of general programming principles
• Extensive expertise using Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience using serverside logic
• Knowledge of SQL Querying techniques and SQL integration
• Experience using data visualization and Business Intelligence tools (pyPlot, Power BI)
• Knowledge of the command line and command line tools
• Familiarity with Data Engineering Tools and pipelines is a plus (Apache Airflow, pySpark)
• Exposure to OCR is helpful but not required
