Our client serves from Puerto Rico as a strategic global technology and data hub delivering world-class technological solutions and is hiring a Senior Kubernetes Orchestration and Business Continuity Disaster Recovery (BCDR) Engineer. This position is a senior technical expert and sole contributor responsible for the design, deployment, automation and reliability of this data hub.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a reliable hybrid operation and multi-cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Architect, deploy and manage solutions such as Kubernetes-based clusters (AKS, EKS, GKE, OpenShift, Cloud Foundry)
• Implement and maintain infrastructure -as-code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, ArgoCD, and Helm Charts to standardize and automate configuration
• Maintain GitHub repositories
• Administer and optimize hypervisor environments (Nutanix, VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, or others)
• Design, implement and maintain comprehensive BCDR frameworks
• Establish and validate world-class recovery metrics
• Manage cloud-based failover environments for disaster scenarios across global regions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering, computer science or related field
• 8 plus years in infrastructure or SRE engineering roles
• 5 plus years managing Kubernetes orchestration
• Proven experience with Terraform, ArgoCD, Helm, Docker, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on with hypervisors (VMware, Nutanix, Hyper-V)
• Proven experience operating BCDR environments
• Nice to have certifications such as: Certified Kubernetes Administrator, VMware Certified Professional, Nutanix Certified Professional, Business Continuity Certified Planner, ItIL v4
• Azure Solutions Architect/Aws Advanced networking Specialty
• English proficiency required

Compensation: Commensurate with experience, plus an excellent fringe benefits package.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $1.00 - $2.00 per year
