Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems. This position will maintain both system and network technology while providing helpdesk support and troubleshooting Norplex computer/software systems.
Responsibilities
- Work with 3rd party MSP to assist in maintaining servers, firewall, computers, and related equipment
- Work with 3rd party MSP to install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software
- Work with 3rd party MSP with LAN communications and security including VPNs (CATO) and endpoint protection
- Troubleshoot and provide technical support through 3rd party MSP helpdesk
- Maintain and utilize IT vendor relationships
- Write and maintain information technology related procedures, processes, and policies
- Develop and implement strategies for improving IT systems with the IT Manager
- Assist with production related technology
- Assist in monitoring and working with the IBM-i system platform in coordination with the IT Manager
- General knowledge in understanding and working with the Infor XA ERP system with various departments such as Production & Commercial
- Other tasks and projects as assigned by the IT Manager
· Qualifications Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology related field
- Proficiency with the Microsoft suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Projects, etc.)
- Extensive knowledge of IBM-i platforms and ERP related software
- Background in SQL server and data management
· Qualifications Required
- CompTIA IT certification (or 3-5 years field experience in IT)
- Base knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products
- Base knowledge of IT security, networking, infrastructure and system administration
