Job Title: Software / Machine Learning Engineer
Location: Los Altos, CA (90% Remote, Local Candidates Only)
Work Options:
- 4-day workweek (10-hour days, Fridays off), or
- Standard schedule (4 days remote, minimum 1 day onsite)
Role Summary
We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to build and scale large AI foundation models. The role focuses on PyTorch-based development, distributed training, and high-performance ML systems.
Key Requirements
- 4+ years of ML engineering experience
- Strong PyTorch expertise
- Experience training large-scale foundation models (VLMs, text-to-video, or similar)
- Hands-on knowledge of distributed training, mixed precision, quantization, FSDP
- Strong Python and software engineering best practices
- Experience with data pipelines, cloud training, and model deployment
- Ability to prototype quickly and deliver production-ready solutions
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour
