Spotter

As an Entry-Level/Junior Data Scientist, you will

• Leverage the very latest machine learning and AI technologies to
• analyze large, complex data sets,
• produce predictive models based on historical data and analysis,
• and develop effective visualizations to highlight key data findings and patterns
• Assist in collecting, processing, and analyzing data from various sources
• Develop and maintain data engineering solutions and visualizations, including dashboards
• Identify areas for and implement Robotic Process Automation
• Collaborate with team members and cross-functional teams to identify data-driven solutions for business problems
• Support senior data scientists in developing predictive models and algorithms
• Create and maintain data documentation and reports
• A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a STEM or STEM-related field
• 0-5 years of experience with the design, development, and testing of software tools
• Strong familiarity with at least one programming language (Python preferred)
• Strong familiarity with process automation
• Understanding of data collection, data analysis, and data visualization techniques
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication abilities
• Resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the North Alabama area
• Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain a secret clearance

Desired Qualifications

• Strong programming and software development experience
• Experience applying AI/ML technologies
• Experience with Generative AI (e.g., Large Language Models (LLMs))
• Experience with statistics and applied machine learning (regression analysis, time series, probabilistic models)
• Experience developing and maintaining data pipelines
• Experience developing dashboards
• Experience with Agile software development methodology
• Experience with Missile Defense Agency or other DoD organizations
• Experience working with cloud services, such as Microsoft Azure
