Job description

Laser Center is a laser cutting company with production facilities in both Schaumburg, IL and Menomonee Falls, WI. We are looking to hire packing/shipping clerks at the newly constructed production facility in Menomonee Falls, WI. Production at the new facility will begin in February, 2025 but we are looking to hire immediately.

This position is responsible for preparation and shipment of orders in accordance with due dates. He/she will also assist other workers with any of their daily duties including area housekeeping and minor maintenance work at operator level.

Responsibilities

• Prepare orders for shipment in accordance with shipping method and customer requirements
• Inspect parts to verify that they have no defects
• Maintain accurate counts of parts
• Report any defective parts to the supervisor
• Pack finished parts in accordance with shipping methods (box, pallet and bulk)
• Safely operate crane for heavy/large parts
• Operate a forklift to load pallets on delivery trucks and unload delivered pallets and packaging materials
• Check inventory to maintain availability of packaging material supplies (cardboards, boxes, foams, etc.)
• Clean work area in accordance with company standards
• Participate in machine/equipment preventative maintenance at the operator level

Qualifications

• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the job
• Ability to operate a forklift
• High school diploma preferred
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Understanding and support of company policies and procedures
• Safety conscious behavior
• Excellent attendance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.58 - $21.41 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
