IT Specialist – Onsite Hospital Support (Cheyenne Wells, CO / Cheyenne County)

Introduction:
Elevate Services Group is seeking an IT Specialist to provide onsite support at a rural hospital in Cheyenne Wells, CO / Cheyenne County. This is a full-time, onsite position with limited flexibility for remote work as situations arise. The compensation range is $40,000 to $55,000, depending on experience, with the upper end reserved for those with strong healthcare IT backgrounds—particularly those experienced in EMR systems, HIPAA compliance, and providing support in dynamic clinical environments.

Candidates can expect a streamlined hiring process that includes multiple interviews and a final onsite interview at the hospital to assess technical fit and cultural alignment.

Position Summary:
The IT Specialist is the primary technical support contact for hospital staff, responsible for onsite and remote troubleshooting across a wide range of systems and applications. This includes EMR platforms, Active Directory, networking, cloud services, email, wireless devices, and endpoint hardware.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and resolve hardware/software/network issues across a hospital environment
  • Respond to support tickets with appropriate urgency and prioritization
  • Maintain and document hospital IT infrastructure, user issues, and vendor info
  • Support a wide range of devices: desktops, phones, printers, servers, switches, etc.
  • Provide face-to-face support and training for hospital end users
  • Participate in on-call rotations and occasional after-hours tasks
  • Identify process and technical improvements to better support hospital operations

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of IT support experience or CompTIA A+ certification
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Office and Windows 10/11 environments
  • Proficient in diagnosing and resolving hardware issues
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems; Autotask preferred
  • Understanding of ITSM/ITIL (certification preferred)
  • EMR experience highly valued
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Reliable transportation and ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs
  • Willingness to provide on-call support as needed

Pay Range: $40,000 – $55,000 per year
