Duties

  • Lead the planning, implementation, and management of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, databases, and cloud services such as Microsoft 365.
  • Oversee the administration of enterprise systems like Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, Hyper-V, and Microsoft SQL Server to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Manage network support activities involving routers, LAN/WAN configurations, firewall security (Palo Alto), DHCP, DNS, and remote access software to maintain reliable connectivity.
  • Develop and execute IT service management strategies aligned with ITIL best practices to improve service delivery and incident resolution.
  • Supervise IT staff providing technical support, desktop support, and system administration while fostering professional development through mentoring and training.
  • Coordinate disaster recovery planning, business continuity initiatives, and cybersecurity measures to safeguard organizational data against threats.
  • Collaborate with vendors for procurement, licensing, and maintenance of hardware/software solutions such as SharePoint, Veeam, and other enterprise tools.
  • Lead project management efforts for technology upgrades or new system deployments utilizing Agile methodologies to ensure timely delivery within scope.
  • Enforce IT governance policies ensuring compliance with industry standards related to information security and network security.
  • Monitor system performance metrics using tools like NinjaOne and perform analysis to optimize infrastructure efficiency.

Skills

  • Extensive experience managing enterprise IT environments with proficiency in Microsoft 365 cloud platform integration.
  • Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies including server management practices.
  • Proven leadership in supervising IT teams with excellent organizational skills and ability to motivate staff toward common goals.
  • Deep understanding of computer networking concepts such as LAN/WAN design, routers/switches configuration, network engineering principles, and WAN optimization.
  • Expertise in database management systems including Microsoft SQL Server, SharePoint administration, and SQL query analysis.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity protocols encompassing information security policies, network security measures like firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Skilled in project management tools like FreshService for tracking tasks, incidents, changes, and service requests efficiently.
  • Knowledge of IT frameworks such as ITIL for service lifecycle management along with vendor management capabilities for hardware/software procurement.
  • Excellent communication skills enabling clear articulation of technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting complex issues related to systems engineering or network infrastructure while ensuring minimal downtime. Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Seven (7)+ years of experience in progressive IT roles, with a strong background in systems, security, and project management.
  • Three (3) + years of previous IT leadership managing teams, preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, security protocols, and software development.
  • Budgeting, project management, and vendor management are crucial.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for managing teams and explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Pay: From $95,000.00 per year
