Position Title: IT/IS Manager

Pay Rate: $120,000 to $140,000 DOE (Non-Exempt)

Reports to: CFO

Position Summary:

The IT/IS Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s technology operations, ensuring that network infrastructure, cybersecurity, business applications, and data management are secure, reliable, and aligned with business objectives. The role involves ensuring compliance with industry IT regulations and standards to meet customer requirements and safeguard organizational data. Working closely with the IT team and company leadership, this position evaluates and supports existing systems, identifies and implements cost-effective technology solutions, and establishes IT policies to drive operational efficiency. By analyzing the technology needs of each department, the IT/IS Manager ensures that IT services effectively support both daily operations and long-term strategic goals, while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

Tasks/ Responsibilities including but not limited to:

· Develop and implement the organization's technology strategy, aligning it with business objectives, while assessing departmental tech needs, staying updated on emerging trends to enhance business efficiency, and leading project management efforts and resource allocation to ensure the achievement of strategic goals.

· Lead and mentor the IT team, ensuring effective training, development, and performance management, while fostering collaboration within the department and across teams to support organizational objectives, and serving as the primary point of contact for technology-related matters.

· Oversee the management, maintenance, and optimization of network infrastructure to ensure security, scalability, reliability, and high availability, while managing system upgrades and troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime and maintain optimal performance of critical systems and applications. Monitor system functionality and ensure compliance with technical and operational standards.

· Develop and implement a comprehensive business continuity plan, conducting regular testing and simulations of disaster recovery processes to ensure rapid recovery and operational resilience in the event of disruption.

· Lead efforts to safeguard the organization’s data, systems, and infrastructure from cyber threats by implementing security policies, best practices, and regularly evaluating and improving the cybersecurity posture to mitigate risks and ensure data protection.

· Ensure all technology operations and data management practices comply with industry regulations and customer requirements, stay up to date with industry regulations, and collaborate with internal teams to manage audits and maintain ongoing compliance, partnering with the Quality department as needed.

· Develop, implement, and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure efficient, secure, and compliant operations, while establishing protocols for data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity, and regularly reviewing policies to keep them aligned with organizational needs and industry standards.

· Evaluate, select, and manage external vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and SLAs to ensure cost-effective, high-quality service delivery, while monitoring performance to meet business and security requirements.

· Prepare and manage the IT budget, ensuring technology investments align with business priorities, while identifying cost-saving opportunities in technology, licensing, and support contracts.

· Regularly report on the status of IT operations, security, and compliance to leadership, while continuously evaluating and improving IT processes, systems, and performance to ensure alignment with organizational goals and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT management or a similar leadership role, with a proven track record in overseeing technology operations (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and guide teams to achieve organizational goals.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, able to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficient in analytical thinking, with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Hands-on experience with application integration, system customization, and managing vendor relationships to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Familiarity with data analytics and reporting tools such as Power BI, Domo, Tableau, or SQL is a plus.
