Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Network Engineer - Admin to join our innovative IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our complex network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage wide area networks (WAN) and local area networks (LAN), ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Configure and maintain network devices including Cisco routers, switches, Meraki access points, Cisco ASA firewalls, Juniper devices, and other network hardware.
  • Implement and support advanced network security protocols such as IPsec VPNs, SSL/TLS encryption, Cisco ISE for identity services, PKI for certificate management, and network security monitoring tools like SolarWinds and Splunk.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, monitor network traffic with IDS/IPS systems, and perform regular security audits to identify potential threats.
  • Manage data center infrastructure including SAN storage solutions, VMware vSphere environments, high availability configurations, and server virtualization.
  • Automate network tasks using scripting languages such as Bash (Unix shell scripting), PowerShell, Python, and tools like Ansible for configuration management.
  • Support cloud security initiatives involving AWS, Azure, and hybrid cloud environments; oversee remote access solutions including VPNs and remote desktop software.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of network architecture using GPOs (Group Policy Objects), DHCP/DNS configurations, routing protocols like OSPF/EIGRP/BGP, and network diagrams.
  • Collaborate within Agile teams to implement DevOps practices that enhance system deployment cycles (SDLC) and streamline network operations.
  • Provide ongoing network support including troubleshooting TCP/IP issues, load balancing with F5 or similar solutions, and ensuring disaster recovery readiness through high availability setups.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing complex IT infrastructure with a focus on computer networking principles such as routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), TCP/IP stack, DNS/DHCP services.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco networking equipment including Cisco ISE for identity management; Cisco ASA firewalls; Meraki cloud-managed devices; Juniper routers; openSUSE/Linux distributions; BSD variants; Debian/Ubuntu/CentOS operating systems.
  • Hands-on experience with data center technologies such as SAN storage systems (NFS/SAN), VMware vSphere/vCenter virtualization platforms; cloud platforms like AWS or Azure; Citrix environments; high availability configurations.
  • Familiarity with network security tools including IDS/IPS systems; vulnerability assessment tools; encryption protocols; SSO implementations; LDAP/Active Directory integration.
  • Skilled in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation; proficient with network monitoring tools like SolarWinds or PRTG; familiar with DevOps practices using Ansible or PowerShell scripts.
  • Knowledge of telecommunication systems including VoIP protocols (SIP), QoS policies for voice/video traffic management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying issues before they impact operations.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA/CCNP/CCIE (Cisco Certified Network Professional/Expert), CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent are highly desirable. Pay: $86,487.66 - $104,157.18 per year
