We are looking for individuals with a strong computer and networking technical background and a commitment to customer service. Technician will be responsible for a wide range of tasks from updating drivers, troubleshooting network problems, managing and configuring servers, training customers, and software installation. We're looking for an efficient and detail-oriented professional with a background in networking, server administration, and workstation repair and support. This technician is intended to be a primary dispatch for on-site installations.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware and software.
  • Monitor, maintain, and repair IT systems.
  • Maintain existing infrastructure and implement new technologies.
  • Use various tools to analyze IT infrastructure and applications.
  • Use a variety of tools to complete installations with a high degree of attention to aesthetics. Your work should look clean and professional.
  • Manage IT operations and processes.

A service vehicle will be provided for you with multiple tools and equipment. Your on-sites may require you to physically carry over 40lbs to install equipment to install at customers location. This includes the installation of the following.

  • Computers, Servers, and Monitors
  • TVs, Ceiling Speakers, Access Points, and Cameras
  • CAT6 Cable, Keystone Jacks, Misc. Low-Voltage Items, and Patch Panels
  • Server Cabinets, Racks and Hardware

Must have knowledge in the following to apply

  • Proficient in using tools of many types to complete installations (using drills, wall anchors, toggle bolts, finding studs, dropping cables into wall from attic, mounting cabinets to walls or racks to cement floors, etc).
  • Understanding of the DOs, DON'Ts, gotchas, and tricks of pulling and terminating CAT6 and other cable types.
  • Extensive experience installing and configuring Windows Server OSs from at least Server 2016 and newer.
  • Extensive experience installing and configuring Windows Client OSs, from at least Windows 7 and newer.
  • Excellent knowledge of AD, DHCP, DNS, and other common server roles.
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows' security model, NTFS permissions, and Sharing
  • Essential networking skills with a solid understanding of IP addressing, subnets, routing and gateways, and NAT.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
