Job description

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • You have 3+ years of web development experience and very strong experience in TypeScript / JavaScript skills
  • You have 2+ years front end development experience, CSS, HTML and Front End knowledge with expertise React and in CSS with a focus on building complex layouts and meeting pixel-perfect design requirements
  • You have 2+ years of Back-end development experience, with expertise in Perl or NodeJS and GraphQL APIs. - Elixir / Phoenix nice to have
  • CI/CD, Github Actions nice to have
  • LivePerson integration nice to have
  • You have experience with building performant, responsive front-end components
  • You have a technical background with knowledge of engineering principles and design patterns
  • You are passionate about writing clean, modern, maintainable, & highly performant code
  • You have the proactive ability and a self-starter attitude to troubleshoot and solve problems
  • You have a positive, collaborative, and solution-oriented approach
  • You have experience working in an Agile team
  • You have self-awareness and a desire to continually improve

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure technical architectures that meet business objectives and align with industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and stakeholders, to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends, frameworks, and tools relevant to our industry, and propose innovative ideas to enhance our technical capabilities.
  • Conduct proof-of-concepts (POCs) and participate in hackathons to explore new technologies, evaluate their feasibility, and provide recommendations for their adoption.
  • Lead the technical aspects of projects, including defining technical requirements, creating architecture diagrams, and providing technical guidance to development teams.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, providing technical expertise and promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines.
  • Collaborate with vendors and external partners to evaluate and integrate third-party systems or services into our architecture when needed.
  • Drive the adoption and implementation of agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: Up to $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
