Job description
General Statement of Duties: The IT Systems Administrator provides timely frontline technical support through the HelpDesk to minimize disruptions to operations. Performs network administration to maintain reliable IT infrastructure and system operations. Assists with IT onboarding/offboarding, privacy/security, training activities and compliance.
Level of Responsibility: Reports to Director of Quality & Compliance
Status: Full Time; Exempt
Work Environment: Office setting; Kearneysville, WV
Salary Range: $77,043 annual - $91,728 annual ($37.04/hour - $44.10/hour)
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. *Provides timely troubleshooting for common hardware, software, and connectivity issues impacting operations; documents actions steps and resolutions timely and accurately for each request.
2. *Trains and assists staff on the use of basic electronic equipment and current software.
3. *Implements, supports and maintains network infrastructure (on-prem and/or cloud) including performing system updates and routine maintenance with minimal disruption to operations.
4. *Ensures all IT equipment requests for internal and external meetings and fundraisers/events are met.
5. Presents recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and systems.
6. *Implements policies and procedures that enable consistent, effective information related to privacy, security and acceptable use. Ensures security policies, standards, and procedures are up to date.
7. *Completes onboarding and offboarding tasks including account provisioning, role-based access, equipment setup, access removal, etc.
8. *Oversees mobile device management (MDM) and remote wipe capabilities; installs all hardware and software once approved.
9. *Ensures disaster recovery and business continuity planning for hospice operations is tested and functional.
10. Conducts monitoring and reviewing of audit records as requested to ensure that activity is appropriate.
11. *Identifies cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.
17. Coordinates with vendors and their-party support as needed; support maintenance of Business Associate Agreements (BAA).
18. *Participates in after-hours and weekend rotation to support 24/7 operations.
19. *Maintains current knowledge, complies with and ensures systems comply with applicable federal and state laws including but not limited to HIPAA, HITECH, licensing and certification requirements and accreditation standards.
20. *Complies with the employee standards.
21. *Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
1. Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
2. 3–5 years experience of progressive IT responsibilities including IT advanced support, maintaining network infrastructure, and performing system updates and routine maintenance in a production environment.
3. Relevant industry certifications strongly preferred, such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Server+
4. Demonstrate customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally; posses technical expertise and analytical thinking skills; detail oriented.
5. Experience with teaching computer applications.
6. Microsoft certifications beneficial (Microsoft 365, Azure Fundamentals, or equivalent).
7. Able to provide own transportation, and a license to drive with current liability insurance. Driving record meets Hospice’s insurance company standards.
8. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
Physical Qualifications:
1. Walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling, lifting, carrying and grasping are necessary body movements utilized in performing duties.
2. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
3. Ability to transport self to various locations throughout the service area.
4. Ability to get from car to places of business throughout service area.
5. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English language.
6. Ability to hear normal conversation in person and via phone. Ability to read normal or condensed print.
Equipment/Software Used:
This must be considered only a representative, partial list since equipment changes may occur at any time.
Ticketing system, Fortinet networking equipment, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, WebEx VoIP telephone system, VMWare VSphere, Windows laptops and desktops, Apple iPads and iPhones, mobile device manager, copier and fax machines, remote support and patch management tools, network monitoring tools, Wellsky/Consolo electronic medical record, clinical peripherals.
This position is located in an office setting, in Kearneysville, WV.
Pay: $77,043.00 - $91,728.00 per year
