MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
1. Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Education Technology, or related field.
2. Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in technology.
3. Strong understanding of AI concepts, algorithms, and applications.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
6. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex projects.
7. Demonstrated ability to communicate in both written and oral forms.
OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY
The District Director of Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be responsible for leading the district's strategic implementation of AI technologies to enhance educational outcomes, improve operational efficiency, and foster innovation. This role will require a deep understanding of AI, its applications, and its potential impact on education.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
1. Develops and implements a comprehensive AI strategy aligned with the district's overall educational goals and vision.
2. Oversees the integration of AI tools and platforms into various educational domains, including instruction, assessment, administration, and operations.
3. Leads professional learning initiatives to equip educators and staff with the necessary skills to effectively use and understand AI technologies.
4. Utilizes AI to analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform decision-making and improve student outcomes.
5. Ensures the ethical and responsible use of AI, addressing issues such as privacy, bias, and transparency.
6. Fosters collaboration with teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders to identify and address challenges and opportunities related to AI implementation.
7. Stays abreast of emerging AI trends and technologies, exploring opportunities to pilot innovative AI applications within the district.
8. Develops and implements machine learning and natural language processing models to enhance AI capabilities and drive project success.
9. Applies knowledge of educational technology standards and best practices to evaluate and improve instructional tools and strategies.
10. Ensures compliance with data privacy and security regulations by implementing best practices and conducting regular audits.
11. Leverages data analytics and visualization tools to analyze trends and present actionable insights that drive informed decision-making.
12. Performs other duties related to general administrative responsibilities of the position.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This work requires the following physical activities: sitting, mobility, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity. The work is performed primarily indoors.
