About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Administrator to lead our IT infrastructure across a multi-state organization. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring our network systems remain secure, reliable, and aligned with organizational goals. The Senior Network Administrator will manage critical projects, mentor IT staff, and support advanced technologies in both cloud and on-premise environments. Travel is required up to 50% for this role.

What You’ll Do

Team Leadership

  • Provide technical leadership to IT staff, promoting best practices in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Mentor and support junior administrators and technicians to build a high-performing team.
  • Manage IT-related projects and contribute to annual technology planning.

Network & Systems Administration

  • Provision, configure, and maintain Windows servers, VMware, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and cloud environments.
  • Administer VPNs, firewalls, and security systems, ensuring compliance with security standards.
  • Deploy and support tools including Workspace One, Okta, Verkada, Ticketing System, Phone Systems, and Project Management tools.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and recover from system failures while maintaining disaster recovery procedures.

Compliance & Security

  • Develop user guides, FAQs, and training materials to promote security awareness.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, privacy regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Monitor third-party, mobile, and Windows applications to detect and resolve risks.

Cross-Functional Support

  • Provide hybrid IT support (on-site and remote) across multiple states.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to align technology initiatives with organizational needs.
  • Manage vendor relationships and support telecom systems, including PBX reporting.

What We’re Looking For

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Preferred certifications: Network Administration, Microsoft Certified Solution Architect, VMware VCP, CompTIA Network+.

Experience

  • 5+ years of network administration experience required.
  • 2+ years in a senior or lead role preferred.

Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP) and operating systems (Windows, cloud, hybrid environments).
  • Proficiency in configuring Cisco, Extreme, and similar hardware.
  • Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network security.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.

Other Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift at least 65 lbs. and travel as needed.
  • Must pass background, education, drug screen, and (where applicable) fingerprint clearance checks.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Travel up to 50% is required (Local & Out Of State).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,579.87 - $110,000.87 per year
