Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Architect to lead the design and development of innovative data solutions within a dynamic technology environment. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in data modeling, database design, and big data technologies, with a strong background in cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop scalable, efficient architectures that support analytics, data warehousing, and enterprise applications. The Software Architect will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical strategy and ensuring best practices across projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop comprehensive software architectures for data-driven applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
• Lead the integration of diverse data sources including NoSQL databases, SQL Server, Oracle, and Hadoop ecosystems.
• Develop and maintain data models, ETL processes, and data pipelines utilizing tools such as Informatica, Spark, Bash (Unix shell), and SQL.
• Architect solutions leveraging cloud services like AWS (including Azure Data Lake and Azure) to support big data analytics and storage needs.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement agile methodologies ensuring continuous delivery of high-quality software solutions.
• Establish best practices for database design, data warehousing, and analytics to optimize data flow and accessibility.
• Evaluate emerging technologies such as Linked Data, Hadoop, and Big Data frameworks to enhance system capabilities.
• Provide technical guidance on database design, data modeling, and system integration strategies.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and facilitate smooth deployment of enterprise-level applications.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Software Architect or similar senior role with extensive knowledge of NoSQL databases, SQL Server, Oracle, and Hadoop ecosystems.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms including AWS and Azure Data Lake services.
• Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Java and Python for building scalable applications.
• Deep understanding of ETL processes, data modeling, database design, and data warehouse architecture.
• Familiarity with big data tools like Spark, Hadoop, Informatica, and analytics frameworks.
• Experience working within Agile development environments to deliver complex projects efficiently.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix shell scripting (Bash) is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to stakeholders.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: From $150,000.00 per year
