AWS Solution Architects (application side) - 2 roles
CTH role - 3- 6 months then convert to hire
Location ideally hybrid near Worcester County, MA
Client prefers candidates to be local but will entertain out of state candidates if have the "must have skills"

Position 1- Front End Systems– Mostly angular applications with BFF(Backend for Front End) service layer calling enterprise services. Applications are migrating to AWS and AWS native technologies. The person to be working 80% of the time with the Product team and 20% of the time with the Architecture Team. Candidates must have experience with applications, AWS, AWS native technologies and ideally angular (or something similar)

Position 2- Platform Team– This team is .NET, but replatforming to Java/AWS cloud native technologies. The common Platform team includes print, Imaging, document storage/retrieval, RPA (Automation), etc. The person to be working 80% of the time with the Product team and 20% of the time with the Architecture Team. Candidates must have experience with Java and AWS cloud native technologies.

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Software Architect, you will play a crucial role in shaping our software development processes and ensuring the delivery of high-quality applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and establish best practices for software development.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable software architectures for web services and cloud-based applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Oversee the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Implement Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solutions using cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform.
• Utilize automation tools like Ansible to streamline deployment processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Provide guidance on best practices for cloud computing, SaaS, and server management.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership within the team.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and quality assurance practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Software Architect or similar role in software development.
• Strong knowledge of web services, cloud computing, IaaS, and SaaS architectures.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
• Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible and their application in deployment processes.
• Experience with SDLC methodologies and best practices.
• Knowledge of server management and virtualization technologies, including Citrix.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $85.00 - $105.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
