We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Analyst with experience in financial services or regulated environments to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in safeguarding sensitive borrower data, protecting mortgage systems, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Cybersecurity Analyst will monitor and respond to threats, conduct risk assessments, and help maintain the security posture of our Microsoft, mortgage origination, and point-of-sale platforms

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze security events across platforms to detect threats and suspicious activity.
  • Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents, ensuring timely remediation and documentation.
  • Perform vulnerability scans and coordinate remediation efforts with IT, compliance, and vendor partners.
  • Assist with vendor due diligence and third-party risk assessments, ensuring compliance with mortgage industry standards.
  • Support implementation and management of security technologies, including SIEM, endpoint detection, firewalls, and data loss prevention.
  • Partner with Compliance and Risk teams to ensure adherence to industry regulations (GLBA, FFIEC, CFPB, and state-level requirements).
  • Maintain and test incident response and disaster recovery plans specific to mortgage systems.
  • Research emerging threats impacting the mortgage and broader financial services industry.
  • Provide security awareness training to employees, with emphasis on phishing and fraud schemes targeting lenders and borrowers.
  • Assist in audits, examinations, and reporting requirements for regulators, investors, and auditors.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of cybersecurity experience, preferably in financial services, banking, or mortgage.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations, data protection laws, and mortgage industry compliance requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, DLP, vulnerability scanners).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on protecting sensitive customer data.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Experience Preferred:

  • Relevant certifications such as Security+, CEH, CISSP, CISA, or GIAC.
  • Experience with Encompass, Optimal Blue, or other mortgage-specific platforms.
  • Experience with MS Intune, Proofpoint, SentinelOne and NinjaRMM.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, CIS.
  • Familiarity with cloud security in mortgage SaaS environments.

What We Offer:

  • Full-time position with occasional on-call support for incident response.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
