Job title: Senior Microsoft Engineer

Reports to: Professional Services Manager
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Microsoft Engineer is responsible for implementing Microsoft solutions for Capital Data’s customer base. Responsibilities will include assistance with pre-sales validation, architecture of solutions, technical integration, installation and configuration of Microsoft On-Premises and Cloud Solutions. The Microsoft Engineer will be part of Capital Data’s Professional Services department and will provide additional duties as needed including supporting existing and future customers.
Duties:
Professional Services (80%)
- Implementation of professional services projects
- Act as a lead engineer of Microsoft solutions including but not limited to: On-Premises solutions – Active Directory, Exchange, System Center, Cloud Solutions – M365 and Azure Infrastructure Solutions
- Assist as required to the design and implementation of Microsoft solutions
- Manage, maintain and support Microsoft solutions
- Aid in developing business offerings and improve internal processes wherever possible
- Support Professional Services customers as needed
- Work closely with Sales and Solution Architect Teams to grow offerings as applicable
- Provide out of hours support as required by customer(s) projects within agreed upon statement of work
Professional Development (10%)
- Complete training certifications as required
Managed Services (10%)
- Provide Level 2 and 3 support to new and existing Managed Services customers
- Aid in developing offerings and improve internal processes wherever possible
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
At least 5 years of Senior experience in at least one of the following technical domains:
- Operating System / Virtualization (Windows Client and Server, VMware, Hyper-V)
- Email / Mail Protection (Exchange Server, Exchange Online, Defender for O365)
- Collaboration (MS Teams, SharePoint, SharePoint Online)
- Security & Compliance (Purview, AIP, Defender for Endpoint / Cloud, DLP)
- Cloud Infrastructure (Azure IaaS, PaaS technologies)
- Endpoint Management (Intune, System Center, Endpoint Management)
- Identity (Entra ID, Active Directory)
- Exceptional client relationship and presentation skills
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to travel and work from customer locations across WI and IL.
- Ability to work unsocial hours on an as needed basis. (Weekend patching etc.)
- Ability to provide out of hours support via an on-call rotation program
- All other applicable tasks deemed as a requirement by supervisor or Capital Data Leadership.
