Description
The Director of Internal IT plays a critical leadership role in building and sustaining a secure, reliable, and scalable enterprise technology environment at Mytech Partners. This position provides strategic and hands-on leadership across IT infrastructure, security operations, systems engineering, hosted solutions, and third-party applications.
As a member of the technical leadership team, you will help create common capabilities across the organization while ensuring system reliability, security, and performance across all Mytech locations. Success in this role means driving the future of our platform, aligning technology with business needs, and building a sustainable, enterprise-wide support framework rooted in industry best practices.
This is a hands-on leadership role that blends strategy, execution, and people development as we expand technical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
This role includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Provide strategic direction for infrastructure capabilities including Network Operations, Systems Engineering, hosted solutions, and third-party applications
- Ensure reliable and secure operation of Mytech’s IT infrastructure with a target of 99.99% system uptime
- Lead the implementation, maintenance, and support of enterprise computing environments in collaboration with Internal IT, Security, and Shared Services teams
- Manage infrastructure workload capacity, staffing resources, and utilization
- Own IT infrastructure budgeting, forecasting, and purchasing decisions
- Oversee vendor relationships supporting internal IT infrastructure
- Maintain responsibility for Disaster Recovery planning and annual testing
- Ensure complete, accurate documentation of IT systems, standards, and support processes
- Partner with Information Security leadership to develop and implement security policies and controls
- Participate in senior technical leadership to develop and implement Mytech standards for internal and client adoption
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and service delivery
- Create and maintain multi-year (2–5 year) technology roadmaps aligned with business strategy
- Ensure infrastructure capacity supports current usage and future growth
- Mentor, coach, and develop internal IT staff, supporting career progression and technical mastery
- Collaborate with business leaders across the organization to ensure technology solutions align with operational and strategic needs
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 5–7+ years of experience in a comparable IT infrastructure leadership role
- Proven experience managing hybrid environments (Azure cloud and on-prem infrastructure)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with technical teams, business leaders, and executive stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience managing IT infrastructure with elevated operational and strategic responsibility
- Deep hands-on technical knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft SQL
- Strong networking expertise including LAN/WAN architecture, subnets, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, Cisco switching, and Fortinet platforms and routing
- Experience with data center management and network operations
- Prior experience deploying and supporting SD-WAN solutions
- Self-directed, highly organized, and effective in fast-paced, evolving environments
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
