Engineer - Automation & Controls
Benton Foundry is seeking an Automation and Controls Engineer. This position will be responsible for the design, documentation, implementation, and maintenance of control systems for automated production equipment and systems in a manufacturing environment. This role includes programming and troubleshooting of PLC’s and HMI’s, as well as system networking and integration. The candidate will be responsible for upgrading obsolete hardware and converting or developing PLC ladder logic and HMI applications on various types of equipment. Familiarity with robotic systems (ABB) and safety control systems is a plus. Experience with data transactions, relational/historical databases, and SCADA systems is also beneficial. Allen-Bradley PLC’s (SLC500, MicroLogix, CompactLogix, & ControlLogix)
- RsLogix500 & Studio5000 programming software
- Allen-Bradley HMI’s (PanelView Plus7)
- FactoryTalk View Studio HMI ME/SE application development software
- Allen-Bradley & ABB VFD’s (1-500HP)
- FactoryTalk Historian & Microsoft SQL databases
- FactoryTalk Transaction Manager
- Cisco wireless network
- Cisco switches with fiberoptic mesh and copper star topologies
- Multiple Cisco data servers
A 4-year technical degree in a related field is required. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills are also required.
