IT Cybersecurity Analyst – Cloud Security Engineer
Location: Milwaukee, WI | Duration: Direct Hire
Overview:
Responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud security architecture and controls. Ensures compliance with best practices and frameworks while maintaining a strong defense-in-depth strategy and automating security operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and enforce cloud security standards, policies, and configurations.
- Design, implement, and manage cloud-based security solutions.
- Apply network segmentation, data protection, intrusion prevention, and threat detection.
- Automate security operations with scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Deploy and configure cloud-native tools (firewalls, encryption, IAM, monitoring).
- Track and report cloud security KPIs and analyze audit logs.
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to incidents and vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate across teams to improve overall security posture.
- Stay current on cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity trends.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience/certification).
- 5+ years cybersecurity experience (8+ for Principal level).
- Strong technical understanding of cloud and cybersecurity practices.
- Preferred:
- 5+ years hands-on cloud and cybersecurity experience.
- Knowledge of CIS/NIST frameworks and cloud security architectures.
- Certifications: CISSP, GIAC, MCSE, CEH, GICSP, CSSA, or CISM.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
