We are looking for Senior Cybersecurity Policy Analysts to support a federal Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) evolve cybersecurity programs, as well as work hand-in-hand with system personnel to improve the security posture and resiliency of government information systems. The Senior Cybersecurity Policy Analyst will perform a wide range of responsibilities in a program that sets trends across the government, to include:
- Developing policies, guidance, strategies, and communication plans to address emerging trends in IT and cybersecurity;
- Reviewing and improving security authorization documentation for major applications and general support systems to ensure completion in accordance with the published procedures;
- Ensuring compliance with all legal requirements concerning the use of commercial proprietary software, e.g., respecting copyrights and obtaining site licenses;
- Maintaining inventory for hardware and software within program/ development offices or field site facilities;
- Coordinating the development of Contingency Plans and ensuring that the plans are tested and maintained;
- Ensuring risk analyses are completed to determine cost-effective and essential safeguards;
- Leading security awareness and related training programs and distributing security awareness information to the user community as appropriate;
- Analyzing and reporting IT security incidents (including computer viruses) in accordance with established procedures;
- Providing input to appropriate IT security personnel for preparation of reports to higher authority concerning sensitive and/or national security information systems.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in related IT field
- At least one security certification
Minimum Years of Relevant Experience
- 4 or more years of IA experience;
- 2 or more years directly supporting Risk Management Framework (RMF) and FISMA
